The Startup Giveaway (Baltimore & DC Edition) Terms of Use

Effective date: May 6, 2019

 

The Startup Giveaway (Baltimore & DC Edition )is a grant service package for women business owners in the startup phase of their business living in Baltimore & DC. The grant is powered by Golden Launch Creative x Herbloom Global and includes services from sponsors Branding by Brandi, Ajani Truth, and Courtney Cummings. The Startup Giveaway Grant package total value is $6400.

 

Services Include:

 

Web Design via Golden Launch ( $1800 value)

Email Campaign Creation via Herbloom Global ($1200 value)

Branding Package via Branding by Brandi ($1500 value)

Portrait Session via Ajani Truth ($1500 value)

Copywriting Session with Courtney Cummings ($400 value)


1.APPLICATION PERIOD

There is one application process period. The application period begins on May 15, 2019 at 12:00:00 am EST and ends on May 31, 2019 at 11:59:59 pm EST. The application is only open to women living in the Baltimore and DC area. Any applications outside of this area will be disqualified for review.

Recipient will be notified no later than June 7, 2019.  Services will begin June 12, 2019 and run through August 1, 2019. Recipient will receive service timeline upon award notification.

2. HOW TO ENTER:

Step 1: Visit https://www.goldenlaunchcreative.com/the-startup-giveaway to complete the Application.

Each applicant may only submit (1) application regardless if applicant has multiple businesses or is a part of a team. Multiple entries will disqualify recipient.

Sponsor(s) reserves the right to disqualify 
Applicants that submit multiple applications during the Application Period. Only one (1) Applicant may
 enter per Startup or business idea.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Applicants who claim to
 represent the same Startup or business idea in the event of a dispute.

You may not use multiple or fake email addresses; multiple accounts; accounts with fictitious identities;
or any auto clicker program, system, macro, script, bot or other device or artifice to participate in the
 Grant application process.  If you use any of the foregoing or Sponsor suspects you have used any of the
foregoing, you may be disqualified from the Grant application process.

The Applicant must be the authorized account
 holder of the e-mail address associated with the Application.  The “authorized account holder” is
 defined as the natural person to whom the e-mail address is assigned by an internet service provider,
online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is
 responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
 In the event of a discrepancy between the identity of the authorized account holder, the “Recipient,”
 and the Applicant, Sponsor reserves the right,
in its sole discretion, to disqualify the disputed entry and select an alternate potential Recipient.

3. DETERMINATION AND NOTIFICATION OF RECIPIENTS:


Golden Launch Creative and Herbloom Global will judge the submissions to select one (1)
Recipient. The Recipient will be the Applicant who submitted the application and will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Woman living in Baltimore or DC (60%)

  • Uniqueness of business idea or startup idea(20%)

  • Demonstrates financial need (20%)


If a potential Recipient is determined to be ineligible or otherwise disqualified by Sponsor, it will be for the following reasons:

 Not living in the Baltimore or DC area

 Fails to 
respond to Golden Launch Creative Award notification message within 48 hours of notification or after two (2)
attempts (whichever occurs first).

Fails to sign and return any documents requested by Golden Launch Creative

 Fails to work within given timeline of sponsors

 4. GRANTS:

One (1) Recipient will be selected to receive a grant package valued at $6,400. The package will be 
provided by Golden Launch Creative, Herbloom Global, Ajani Truth, Branding by Brandi, and Courtney Cummings.

5. SPONSOR’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS.
‍

If the Grant application process is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without 
limitation, due to a force major event or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized 
intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration,
security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Grant application process, Sponsor reserves the 
right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or cancel the Grant application process.

 In the event of
 cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to select eligible, non-suspect Applicants as the potential 
Recipients based on the eligible entries.  

If you accept the Start up Giveaway it will be on the understanding that you have agreed the following general terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to make public the name of your organization and the broad nature of our offer, but we won’t disclose the detail except in confidence to our advisers and as required by law and/or by regulators.
